Okunoin Mountain-opening Festival(Oyama nobori)

Yamanobori means climbing the mountain.
We carry the statue of Fudo Myoo from the current temple location (Honbo) to the original sacred place of our temple among the mountains (Okunoin).
On the 15th of June at 11 AM we celebrate a ceremony to open the holy location among the mountains and place the statue in the original temple, where it will stay for three months.
During these three months the location is open and it can be visited.
